Innovations on the Horizon for iPhone 6: What Could Be Next for Apple?
Since the past few months, rumors and leaks regarding the iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S have been surfing the Internet. The release date of these devices are yet announced. This leaves plenty of room for the speculations and imaginations regarding their specifications and features. Recently, the designers Ran Avni and Hassen have released a concept video of the upcoming iPhone 6. This video envisages the device with a curved display and 3D camera.
The concept is based on Apple’s patents suggesting the company to be experimenting with curved displays and 3D cameras for dual image capturing. The recent prototype of the device also featured a 4.8 inch display. The concept video shows the device with a flat look and a curved glass sitting at the top.
The iPhone 6 concept also boasts white borders adjacent to the edge-to-edge screen. Again, there is a 3.2 mega pixel FaceTime HD camera at the front, and a 8 mega pixel 3D camera at the back. It is worth mentioning, that Apple Inc. owns a patent for multiple camera technology based on 3D imaging hardware. This technology may be used to click better 3D images. This concept is expected to be integrated with dual cameras at the rear of the iPhone 6. The back of this concept iPhone 6 looks much like the iPhone5.
Furthermore, this concept shows a 4.8 inches large screen of the device. The iPhone 5 had a 4 inch large screen, however the iPhone 6 prototype featured a 4 inch display. Furthermore, any other rows of icons for the larger display have not been shown, nor does the video mention a higher resolution of the screen. If Apple will go for a bigger screen of the iPhone 6, it would very likely increase the resolution as well.
As per the speculations and rumors in the market, the iPhone 6 is expected to launch no sooner than 2014. As there could be a lot of time for the launch, so it seems sensible to expect more innovations and changes in the eagerly awaited device.
